Business Insider reports that Verizon Wireless (VZ, VOD) CEO Daniel Mead says the company isn't planning to buy Sprint (S), ...Bloomberg reports that AIG (AIG) may face rival bids to its $15.7B offer to repurchase mortgage backed securities it was forced to turn over to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York during a rescue by taxpayers... the Associated Press reports that Honda (HMC) and Toyota (TM) are extending their shutdown of auto production in Japan due to a shortage of parts following the earthquake and tsunami. Also, Sony (SNE) suspended production at consumer electronics plants in Japan... Reuters reports that a federal judge ordered Apple (AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs to answer questions relating to an antitrust lawsuit that says the company's iTunes software maintained a monopoly in portable digital media players and music downloads, …and finally, the Wall Street Journal reports that Apple (AAPL) has sued Amazon.com (AMZN) over its use of the phrase "App Store," accusing the online retailer of trademark infringement.
