Dell Secures $476 Million Contract with U.S. Veterans Affair
Dell (DELL) was chosen by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide client PC technology and services for more than 1,200 sites nationwide. Under the four year contract, valued at $476 million, DELL will provide the VA with about 600,000 PCs and monitors, as well as deployment services that will support the VA in transforming its end-user computing environment to improve access, manageability and security. In addition, DELL has selected service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses to support managed deployment services to the VA’s 1,200 sites, including Four Points Technology, HMS Technologies, Arma Systems, Cliveden and Alpha Ten. DELL has been providing client PC technology and support to the agency under a previous competitively bid three-year contract. This latest contract was also awarded to the company through a competitive bid process. Shares are up 0.91% to $15.59.
