Die amerikanischen Sheriffs werden ab 2012 mit einem futuristischen Streifenwagen namens E7 auf Verbrecherjagd gehen. Der Spezialfahrzeug-Hersteller Carbon Motors vertraut bei diesem kugelsicheren Wagen auf BMW-Dieselmotoren. 240.000 Stück werden die Münchner für den neuen Streifenwagen liefern so viele hat BMW in der gesamten Firmengeschichte noch nie an einen anderen Autohersteller geliefert.
