中區大樹倒塌 詹志勇相信因根部受損
中區皇后大道中一棵約3米高的大樹倒塌，樹木專家詹志勇說，倒塌的是細葉榕，估計樹齡超過80歲，相信倒塌是因為根部受損所致。 詹志勇說，由於這棵樹是連根拔起，估計可能是附近經常進行修路，直接損害樹根，增加大樹倒塌的風險。 他說，近日曾經見過大樹有枯葉，樹冠亦較之前縮小，推斷是大樹倒塌的先兆。假如當局及早發現，可以用很多方法，包括輔助繩等鞏固大樹，又說附近人流多，沒有造成大傷亡是不幸中的大幸。
