BMW’s xDrive: Safe Winter Driving
There are many problems with winter driving. One of the most annoying might be the lag that occurs when your car’s wheels fail to properly grip the icy road surface. This problem can be more than just annoying, too: it can be downright dangerous. Fortunately, BMW has created a system to help avoid this lag, called xDrive. And, fortunately, if you’d like to have some fun behind the wheel, the system can be disabled to allow you to drift through corners with the greatest of ease. In this video, tests out BMW’s xDrive on winter’s most slippery surfaces in the 2011 BMW 550i to see if we can make it through the cold months.
