Giving free food not a good policy: Montek Singh
After the PM made it clear that the government cannot implement Supreme Court’s order of distributing foodgrains for free, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairperson to the Planning Commission has said that distributing food grains for free is not a good policy idea as it will undermine food security.
