The Red Hills Horse Trials began today under blustery and chilly conditions. But as the day heated up, so did the dressage tests. Phillip Dutton leads the Adeqaun USEA Gold Cup CIC3* division aboard Susie Beale’s Isabella II with a score of 43.9. In second place Karen O'Connor and Mandiba earned a 44.10 for their clean and accurate test. Allison Springer and Arthur were the first pair of the day to trot down the centerline at this first FEI event of the year. In true form they produced a lovely test worth a 45.3, eventually placing them in third for the day.
