宏達電收購繪圖技術公司S3
股王宏達電宣布以三億美元，出面收購繪圖技術公司S3 Graphics，這家公司主要股東為威盛與WTI投資公司，其中威盛董事長也是WTI間接重要股東，儘管目前公司淨值為負數，但宏達電認主要是看S3公司具有專利權優勢，將在年底前完成收購。
