上野動物園・小宮輝之園長に聞く.part2
2010年8月27日上野動物園始まって以来の飼育係出身の園長・小宮輝之氏。就任した０４年は北海道の「旭山動物園」に月間入場者数で抜かれるなど、厳しい状況だった。小宮園長は飼育歴４０年の経験を生かし、動物園改革をスタート。旭山動物園人気の引き金となった「行動展示」を、旭山動物園のまねではなく、上野動物園ならではのやり方で導入した。元飼育員だからこそわかる動物の本来の姿を様々なアイデアで実現している。
